my piece for His peace

Puzzles are complicated things. You work and work but until you find that perfect fit everything is just, well, messed up. It's easy to get frustrated and throw your hands up in the air and say I quit. But then, the puzzle will never get finished and you won't know the joy that comes from accomplishing a difficult task.

Life is the same way. It's complicated. There's times of imbalance. Things don't always fit. Everything is a mess. And it is way too easy to get frustrated and give up. But then you miss out on the joy of life. Don't let hard times get you down. Hold your head high. Call on your closest friends to help you sort things out. Laugh when you're lost and confused. And when you have to cry it all out, go ahead. Just don't stay in the tears. And remember, you're really not the one working the puzzle. The One working the puzzle put together the world and everything in it so I know He can work my puzzle and yours too. Sometimes, you have to just breathe and take a break. Other times you have to PUSH (pray until something happens). The Bible says pray without ceasing. The trick is learning how to pray in God's will and being able to breathe while you do it. This is when you know you have traded in your piece for His peace. Unfortunately, we all have to figure that out for ourselves.

God Bless!

And remember to be thankful in the Good times and the Bad...

it's a puzzle

The other night my roommate and I were working a puzzle and it reminded me of just how complicated life is...yeah I know the old cliche, "Life's a Puzzle." But it really is...
Sometimes there are these weird shaped pieces. And, then, there are those pieces that seem to fit just perfectly and everything is going great until you find out they don't fit at all! Then, the worst thing ever is when you are almost done and you realize there is a piece missing...the whole process was for nothing; the puzzle will never be complete.
Well that's life for you. Sometimes there are crazy situations that you will never be able to understand. And, sometimes, life seems to be going perfectly when all of a sudden you realize that everything that seemed so perfect really was not perfect. Maybe your job doesn't fit or your school or your major or your boyfriend/girlfriend or your church or any number of things-it's your life; you know what's not fitting. This is when life really gets chaotic because then you search for what does fit...this can take a while so don't get frustrated and whatever you do don't give up!! You'll find what fits. And sometimes these things are taken from us before we realize that they didn't fit there. This can cause a lot of turmoil, but, once again, eventually, everything will fall into place. So what about that missing puzzle piece? No I'm not talking about a significant other that "completes" you. I'm talking about God. He's the missing Piece. You see without God, nothing matters. Life is a waste. The good thing about God, though, is unlike missing puzzle pieces, He is always around. And He is just waiting for you to ask Him to come into your life. All you have to do is ask Him and confess to Him that you are a sinner and believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross and in 3 days rose from the dead defeating death, hell, and the grave. For some of you, salvation has already come, but you've just lost the puzzle piece. Well, I'm going to tell you where to find it. It is right where you left it. That's right. God didn't leave you. You left Him. He's right where you left Him. So think back to where you were in life's journey when you turned away. When did you start making your own decisions? When did you start making choices that you know were not pleasing to God? When did you stop talking to God? When did you put the Bible on  the shelf to collect dust? You're about to take a step onto a new road and it's going to be a little painful. You're going to have to revisit all those places and decisions. But there is good news, as you visit all those places, God is going to go with you. You can ask Him to forgive you, and you will get to experience mercy. And, then, you will feel the joy of living in the Son again. To each of you that called out to God, the missing piece, I need to tell you that this does not mean that life is all figured out and that you will never have anymore trials to deal with. However, it does mean you have a friend who loves you unconditionally. He will walk with you through everything, including death. There will be times when life seems so complicated and that everything is being shifted and turned around. Well, it probably is. For you see, you're puzzle(that you thought you were working but in reality He is working) well it's part of a much bigger puzzle, God's puzzle. He is the master of puzzle working. He makes everything fit just right and He can work many sections at one time. So sometimes you may not understand what is going, and you may not know what to do. That's okay. Just stand still. Let Him work and in the end you will have a beautiful masterpiece.
May God Bless You!
